National-regional component in teaching a foreign language

Education is closely related to upbringing, in particular, the upbringing of a harmonious personality. A topical problem of implementation the national-regional component in the content of English language teaching, its importance in the formation of cross-cultural competence is discussed. The experience of introducing a regional component into the content of training in the disciplines «Foreign Language» (general education discipline) and «Foreign Language in Professional Activity» is described. Examples of practice of teaching these disciplines to 1-2 year students of the Faculty of Continuing Education of the Kazan Branch of the University of Justice named after V.M. Lebedev in the specialties 21.02.19 Land Management, 40.02.04 Jurisprudence (Lawyer in the Field of Judicial Administration), 40.02.03 Law and Judicial Administration are given.
