National theaters in the Cultural space of the Russian Far East at the beginning of the 21st Century

The relevance of the topic of this study is determined by the specifics of cultural and national policies implemented in the Russian Federation, which provide for the long-term development of national theatrical art in certain regions of Russia. At the same time, in the Fundamentals of state Cultural Policy, culture has been elevated to the rank of national priorities, acting as a guarantor of the preservation of a single cultural space. And given the multinational nature of the Far Eastern region, as well as the existing historical experience of national theater groups during the Soviet era, the revival of national theaters at the beginning of the 21st century is a natural process. However, its implementation has certain difficulties, which the author of the article dwells on. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the fact that the article for the first time analyzes the historical experience of the national theater groups that existed in the Russian Far East, which could be used in the process of reviving the national theaters of the region at the moment. As a result, using a comprehensive method that combines the source analysis of materials from various periodicals, the author comes to the conclusion that the national theater undoubtedly plays an important role in the theatrical culture of the Russian Far East, where representatives of various national groups live. However, as the experience of such collectives at the beginning of the 21st century has shown, in the absence of state support, the development of any national theater, due to the small size of the national group or the lack of theatrical traditions, the appearance of such a theater on a permanent basis in the Far Eastern region is possible.
