The narrative of the migration crisis in the French political media discourse: the nomination aspect

The article is devoted to the representation in the French media discourse of the migration crisis of 2015, which continues to have an impact on the French political sphere. In 2015, 1.25 million refugees arrived in Europe, more than 70 thousand of whom, according to official data, decided to settle in France; the number of illegal migrants is unknown. The result of the migration crisis in 2015 was an increase in social spending with a simultaneous increase in the burden on social security systems, crime and social tension. Political media discourse in France between 2015 (the peak year for the reception of migrants) and 2017 (the presidential elections and the corresponding campaigns of candidates) were largely formed around the issue of migration. Political media discourse is understood as a set of speech practices and products of speech activity in the field of political communications, updated in the media, in all the richness and complexity of their interaction, addressed to the widest audience and disseminated mainly through the media. In the Russian-speaking space, French political texts are an important part of forming an idea of France, therefore it is important to understand the peculiarities of the discourse translation. The political narrative presented by a number of key events of this crisis and updated.
