Scientific and museum activities of Petr Evgenievich Kornilov

This article is devoted to the scienti c and museum activities of the art historian, collector and outstanding museum gure Pyotr Evgenievich Kornilov. The article examines the main stages of the life of P. E. Kornilov, his work in the Kazan Central and Russian Museums. Teaching activities, the role of Kornilov in the education of a generation of young graphic artists are covered. Of particular interest is the activity aimed at the restoration and conservation of monuments of art and antiquity. The work lists Russian museums that keep the legacy of P. E. Kornilov: memorial items, books, posters and exlibris created under his leadership. P. E. Kornilov is a person who had a great in uence on Soviet culture.
