Scientific and research activities of undergraduate students of a financial university: features of the organization of conditions and control

In a situation of active development of modern approaches to higher education and increasing requirements for the quality of management training for the public sector, it is increasingly important to organize conditions and develop controls to assess the effectiveness of students’ research work (R&D). The article presents a generalized experience of implementing a systematic approach to the organization of research and development among students in the field of 38.03.04 “State and Municipal Management” (Bachelor’s degree) at a financial university, examines in detail the conditions, shows ways and means of evaluating effectiveness in training students as future analysts and designers in the field of public finance. The methods and methods of assessment of the formed research competencies are shown. The necessity of a purposeful organization of research and development is substantiated both for the effective professional start of graduates in government bodies and for the teaching staffproviding this training. The article also summarizes the main results and analyzes the problem areas and prospects for further development of the research component in the context of digitalization of public administration.
