Academic prose style as the object of pre-translation analysis

The typical features of the academic style are analyzed. This type of analysis forms the initial stage in the process of translation, which is, in turn, is amplified by specific stylistic norms and stereotypes adopted by a national academic tradition. Lexical, morphological and syntactic features of the Russian academic style are explored.
