Some aspects of organizing learning process and social adaptation of foreign citizens in Kuban State Agrarian University during the preparatory period before entering Russian universities (the study based on the experience of the preparatory department for foreign citizens of the Kuban State Agrarian University for period 2015-2019)

The paper describes different aspects of organizing academic work and social adaptation at the Preparatory Department of the Kuban State Agrarian University, analyzes the phase of the 1,5-yearly preparatory program aimed to enable foreign citizens to be admitted to Russian universities. The study participants are the students of the Preparatory Department for Foreign Citizens receiving pre-university training and speaking Russian language at the elementary level. The study discusses the specifics of immersion of foreign citizens in the Russian language environment at the initial stage of their training through business games and perception of visual and audio information to ensure the ability to perceive Russian speech. To improve the quality of education the Preparatory Department organized supervision and tutorship programs for foreign citizens of the university. The paper concludes that, as a result 100 % of the program participants graduating the Preparatory Department for Foreign Citizens are admitted to the universities of the Russian Federation.
