Some judgments regarding the principle of use in the context of the legal doctrine of Jeremiah Bentam

The article presents an analysis of individual theoretical conclusions of the English thinker Jeremiah Bentham regarding the understanding of the content of the principle of utility. Revealing the essential aspects of this principle, the authors put forward a hypothesis about the expediency of: firstly, maintaining a balance of interests between the interests of society and the interests of its individual members; secondly, a more in-depth study by the personnel of the internal affairs bodies of certain provisions of world thought that are directly related to the understanding of the law enforcement mission of the noted state institution.
