Lifelong learning for the librarians: the content will determine the format

The article reveals the experience and tasks of organizing lifelong learning for the librarians. The task is to find and develop new IT-solutions and pedagogical tools that meet the features of modern educational and personnel policy in the library and information sphere. The main focus is on the system of additional professional education. The results of the author's research and observations of the organization of lifelong learning in an unfavorable epidemiological situation are presented. The analysis of problems and tasks of librarians’ lifelong learning at the level of the educational process’s traditional elements: the theoretical foundations of library and information education, the content of education, teaching methods, organizational and pedagogical conditions. The article is based on the author's report at the International scientific and practical conference "Science, technology and information in libraries (LIBWAY-2020)".
