New strategic priorities for tourism development in Russia

The article is devoted to the main aspects of the new stage in Russian strategic tourism management. It provides a comparative analysis of the main postulates of the two basic documents that define the tourism development strategy for the period up to 2020 and for the period up to 2035. The article includes the analysis of the similarities and differences between the purposes and objectives of both Strategies. Determined with two strategies, the analysis of tourism social and economic role of developing Russian society and economics, its influence on the development of regional economics emphasizes the recognition of the deeper tourism impact on functioning adjacent and related industries and activities, on developing entrepreneurship and improving entrepreneurial culture in the regions of Russia. The article also discusses some organizational, economics, and legislative innovations based in the new strategy. The author paid special attention to the development and legislative consolidation of the terminology base of tourism, as well as some mechanisms and tools for achieving strategic objectives and solving tasks, primarily the issues of determining and planning the integrated development of priority tourist territories...
