About the bird’s fauna and population of the Khabarovsk city

The information about specie’s composition and bird’s population of the Khabarovsk city and the surrounding areas in the spring-summer seasons 1995-2006 and 2009 is given. The studies covered eight ecological zones depending on the degree of anthropogenic influence (forest, floodplain of the Black river basin, suburban and urban garden plots, meadows with woody-shrubs and willow-aspen vegetation, recreation areas and many floors buildings). The main focus is on the numerical condition, the stay in region, the characteristics of the habitat, the habitat preference. The data of population census presented in the table reveal the features of the bird’s populationstructure. According to the A. P. Kuzjakin’smethod (1962) the species number indicated by the grades: a numerous, when the number of individuals exceeds 10 ex. on 1 km 2, the common - from 9.9 to 1 individual, rare - from 0.9 to 0.1 and very rare - less than 0.1 individuals on 1 km 2.
