On the formation of a law enforcement officer’s value attitude to professional activities during preparation

The relevance of the presented topic is due to the most important mission of modernhigher education in the Russian Federation, which consists not only in training specialists, butalso in educating the younger generation of spiritual, moral, sociocultural and professionalvalues.Particular attention should be paid to the training of law enforcement officers as specialistscapable of ensuring public order and the security of their state. The training of employees involvestraining in professional skills and abilities, the formation of significant business and personalqualities, spiritual and moral values, as the basis of their value attitude to professional activities.The article offers material on the orientation of the educational process in the framework ofteaching the discipline «Psychology» during the period of study in an educational organization ofthe system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia on the value-semantic representation ofemployees about professional activities, the formation of a value-based attitude to the profession.The peculiarity of the educational process, its organization during seminars and practical classes,independent work, taking into account the specifics of training law enforcement officers, is shown.
