About complex injuriousness of parasites, diseases and weeds on the millet crops in the south-east of Central Chernozem zone

The author estimates the complex injuriousness of diseases, weeds and insects on millet's crops. The indices of injuriousness of individual species and loss of yield during a cooperative action of different factors on plants were calculated and also other factors made difficult the estimation: selectivity of plant pests and places of weed growth, compensation of the loss - were taken into account. The investigation permit to determine the special content of harmful and needed insects, weeds and diseases in millet agrocenosis. It was shown, that chemical protective measures is necessary to make every year - against weeds and at the years of mass emergence - against butterfly. With the purpose of millet plants protection from smut it is necessary to use the treatment seeds for sowing.
