About the need to teach a course of history of science and technology in a modern university (based on the example of the department of history of science and technology of the USTU - UrFU)

In the article, the authors argue the need for a course in the history of science and technology to become a modern engineer. They share their experience in organizing the department of history of science and technology of the Ural Federal University (hereinafter - Ural Federal University), as well as teaching this course, writing textbooks and organizing scientific work in one of the largest universities in Russia.
