Studying mathematics is important in training specialists who can be effective in the new social and economic conditions. However, contemporary education, including the mathematical one, is in crisis. In order to solve the existing problems of content it is necessary to reveal and demonstrate the applications of mathematics to students, including those of their future profession. In this paper mathematical facts, that are used in studying some physical concepts, are analyzed to take them into account in teaching mathematics. Facts of elementary and higher mathematics necessary to understand the rotational motion concept have been revealed. School leavers are to be good at working with algebraic fractions, know the concept of angle radian measure, understand relative positions of straight lines and subspaces. Students must use the elements of differential and integral calculus, operations with vectors including vector product. Methodological problems that can be uncounted in using these mathematical tools are analyzed, i.e. the moments to be noted when Mathematics is taught to materialize inter-subject links. Further research may be to analyze other areas of Mathematics and Physics in order to find links between the two subjects and develop methods of their integration at higher school.
