Justification of the need for state regulation of the rural development of Volgograd region

The aim of the study is to systematize information about the opportunities that open up to public authorities in case of their permanent and rational regulation of the rural development of Volgograd region, as well as to identify specific facts confirming the need for this regulation. The author carries out the SWOT analysis, which allows to determine the strengths and weaknesses of state participation in the development of villages, as well as to assess the opportunities and threats, on the basis of which the researcher draws the conclusions about the insignificance of emerging threats. A sociological survey on the topic of the study was organized in order to identify the real state of villages in the region. Monitoring the results of this study, its interpretation are a way to identify the most pressing problems of rural areas, and determine possible prospects for the development of villages in the region.
