The Hoff equation describes the H-bearn buckling dynamics. For the first time it is considered an inverse coefficient problem modelling the experiment as a result of which under additional measurements not only the buckling dynamics but as well as the characteristics of the beam material are investigated. It is shown the existence of the unique solution of this problem.
