The article is devoted to analysis of the image of Count Koloveglia in N. Douglas's novel -South Wind‖ (1917), which did not attract the attention of researchers before. The portrait feature of Count Koloveglia and his ideas about the development of culture of the Mediterranean region emphasize the hero‘s proximity to ancient Greek culture. Imaginary and real creativity and life are combined in the hero. He tries to pass the Faun sculpture made by him for an ancient artifact. Koloveglia joins the game of life and art.
