In this article we study the image of Lady Anne (Neville) in the chronicles of William Shakespeare ("Richard III"and "Henry VI. Part 3") and how this image and its story line changed in English and American historical prose of the last 70 years. We discuss such "tactics" of image creating as following the literary tradition, studying the character as a representative of her time and her interrelations with other characters.
