The image of a child in the minds of parents

The study discusses the features of parents' representations about their child. The author analyzes variable properties of the images of children in the minds of spouses in terms of social and emotional components. The research investigates the dependence of satisfaction with marital relations on the perception of the image of a pre-school child. The results obtained are compared according to emotional and social components of both spouses. The research indicates the impact of the existing image of a child on his self-awareness and personal development in the future. The research presents a refining and illustrative psycho-geometric technique aimed at identifying one's child with one of five geometric figures. Based on the mathematical analysis results, the author concludes that there is a dependence of the level of satisfaction with marriage and the prevalence of one of the components of the pre-school child's image.
