The article is devoted to the image of Medici Venus sculpture in the fourth canto of Byron’s poem Childe Harold’s Pilgrimage. Byron creates the image trough pointing at material and some details of appearance. But more attention he pays to impressions of beholders and readers (subject “we”) and to Venus’ relations with Paris, Anchises and Mars, described in mythology
