National ballet models as a foundation to develop performance culture in future choreographers of Kazakhstan

Recently the interest in national culture has grown significantly. However, national choreography is developing in globalization, and globalization introduces adjustments to traditional performance culture, necessitating a deeper study of national performing choreography. This research aims to develop theoretical foundations and methodology for cultivating performance culture among choreography students by integrating the heritage of classical national choreography into the educational process of Kazakhstan’s universities. The study analyzes the national ballet models of performance culture, emphasizing its formation through a value-based attitude toward national choreography, understanding performance culture semantics and aesthetics. The author tested the methodology where students at M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan University learned dances from the national ballet “Kalkaman and Mamyr”, employing visual method, observation, conversation, analysis, and statistical processing of the obtained results. The results showed improved performance technique and performance culture aesthetics, improved musicality and creative thinking, confirming the effectiveness of teaching domestic ballet art to enhance choreography students' performance culture of Kazakhstan’s universities.
