Educational technology “debates” as a means of development communicative culture of the student’s personality

One of their components of the professional and pedagogical training of future teachers of secondary schools is a communicative culture as a manifestation of the teacher’s skill and professionalism, the level of his spiritual and moral development. Noting the importance of communicative culture for pedagogical activity, there is a need to search for modern methods and technologies that contribute to its formation at the university. As such a technology, the article considers the interactive educational technology “Debates”, which is becoming more relevant and in demand in modern education, as it contributes to the formation of communicative skills, critical thinking, the development of one’s own position, and the development of skills to interact in team activities. The purpose of this study is to substantiate the expediency of using the “Debate” technology in the educational process of a pedagogical university in order to form a communicative culture of students. The analysis of the scientific literature carried out by the author made it possible to clarify the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the study, and the results of an empirical study to determine the attitude of students to the use of debates in the study of pedagogy, to determine the level of proficiency in communicative skills and teamwork skills. Summarizing the results of the study, the author of the article concludes that it is advisable to use the educational technology “Debates” in teaching, as it allows to activate the cognitive activity of students, form a communicative culture, develop the competence and personal qualities of students, as well as to develop interest in topical problems of pedagogy, which, of course, helps toIt leads to an improvement in the quality and effectiveness of professional and pedagogical training of future teachers.
