The article deals with the analysis of the problem of teaching the post-editing of the texts of machine translation in the process of foreign language teaching of schoolchildren of the profile classes. There is underlined the necessity to teach the post-editing of texts of machine translation as the most important component of the foreign language education of schoolchildren of classes of linguistic profile. The author demonstrates the peculiarities of the fulfillment of the activity, associated with the post-editing of texts of machine translation and the educational potential of post-editing. The specific features of the process and its potential in the development of the post-editing competence are revealed.
