The educational ideal as a regulatory idea of the education system

Th e article discusses one of the central concepts of the theory and practice of the education system the educational ideal. Insuffi cient attention of researchers to a comprehensive analysis of this phenomenon is emphasized. Th e author dwells in detail on the relevance of this concept, analyzes its essence, structure and concept in comparison with other concepts: the ideal of education, the ideal of education, the pedagogical ideal. Special attention is paid to the disclosure of the functional signifi cance and role of the educational ideal in educational and educational activities and the development of society. Th e author argues for the need to form a national educational ideal in the Russian Federation and analyzes the fi rst steps in this direction.
