The work presents the assessment of flax genotypes according to the parameters of general and specific combining ability in the system of diallelic crossings. Four varieties of different ecological and geographical origin and hybrid swarms of first generation (F1) created on their basis were used as research objects. Significant differences in general (OKS) and specific (SKS) combining ability were revealed for the studied group of characteristics. Varieties with high effects of general and specific combining ability include Yarok, Grant, Betertelsdorf 6884/6. The hybrid lines ♀Betertelsdorf 6884/60 × ♂Grant, ♀Betertelsdorf 6884/60 × ♂Yarok were characterized by maximum level of plant height; ♀Yarok × ♂Alizee, ♀Yarok × ♂Grant, ♀Alizee × ♂Betertelsdorf 6 884/60, ♀Betertelsdorf 6884/60 ♂Alizee had the maximum stem mass; ♀Yarok × ♂Grant, ♀Yarok × ♂Betertelsdorf 6884/60, ♀Grant × ♂Alizee were characterized by maximum fiber content in the stem; ♀Yarok × ♂Grant, ♀Alizee × ♂Yarok had a maximum number of fruit and seeds in one fruit; ♀Yarok × ♂Grant, ♀Grant × ♂Yarok, ♀Yarok ×♂Alizee, ♀Yarok × ♂Betertelsdorf 6884/60 were characterized by the indirect indicators of fiber quality (rippleness and tapering). From these hybrid lines in the process of multiple individual selections in segregating populations of the older generation, it is possible to identify the most promising hybrid forms for selection in the main priority areas for the conditions of the Tyumen Region.
