The socio-economic situations as the background of children’s presence in the rest and recreation organizations of Russia: retrospective analysis

The sources of organization of children’s rest and recreation in Russia from the turn of the XIX–XXth centuries to the present days are considered. The historical stages of development are highlighted. There are given their characteristics. The study demonstrates that the children’s presence in the children’s camps is provided by the complex of socio-economic and socio-cultural factors. In different historical periods the system of these organizations was transformed under the influence of changing political, economic and pedagogical realities - from the recreational and ideological function in the Soviet period till the person-oriented model in the XXIst century.
