The assessment of the digital maturity of the educational system is carried out at the state level using methods for calculating target indicators that take into account the quantitative state of the digital transformation of the educational system.The article presents the results of assessing digital maturity using the example of a study of federal districts of the Russian Federation using a formula developed based on the methodology of V.V. Vikhman and M.V. Romma. The results of the calculations made it possible to draw the conclusion that the digital transformation of the educational system in the country is occurring unevenly and such a criterion as digital maturity allows us to objectively assess the qualitative state of digitalization of the educational system in each region of the Russian Federation.
