The article substantiates the importance of the development of the infrastructure of the regions for building up the intellectual potential of the nation, reveals the concept of infrastructure. An estimate is given of the costs of implementing large promising regional development projects. The necessity of analyzing the composition and structure of costs is substantiated, one of the effective methods of their analysis is proposed.
