This study seeks to examine university students' attitudes and evaluations of online classes. Students' opinions on the transition to online classes during the pandemic, their effectiveness and the support received from teachers during classes, the practice and the process of online learning are considered. The results of the study show that students do not believe online classes can completely substitute for traditional face-to-face learning. Technical problems have a strong impact on the effectiveness of online classes. The majority of respondents have a positive attitude towards digitalization of education and appreciate the importance of digital literacy for professional development. Positive aspects of online learning, including convenience, accessibility, cost-effectiveness (saving time and money), and psychological safety, are revealed. Negative aspects of online education, such as health and psychosocial problems (e.g., stress, anxiety, lack of motivation to learn, isolation/loneliness, apathy) and difficulties with the learning process (e.g., not understanding the material presented, additional educational requirements, possibility of evading the education process) are also found.
