Evaluation of modern agrarian reform in a region

On the basis of state statistical data and sociological researches the analysis of social and economic processes in the rural area of the Chuvashi Republic in the period from 1991 to 2005 is presented in the article. Special attention is paid at reforms in regional agri-industrial complex, formation of multi-mode economy, functioning of different forms of management, problems of social reconstruction of the village. Peculiarities in social behaviour of rural population of the Chuvashi Republic in the conditions of market economy are analysed
