Scientific journals and their impact-factor in scientific citation indexing services

The article describes bibliometric methods applied nowadays to explore the impact of scientific journals as well as the impact of particular researchers and their papers. It briefly describes such scientific citation indexing services as Scopus and Web of Science and shows how these services can be used in research work.
