Evaluative compound nouns as the means of the actualization of the stereotypes of the English-speaking linguocultural society

The article deals with the evaluative compound nouns as the means of actualizing the stereotypes of the English-speaking linguocultural society. There is stated and described the role of metaphor in creating the evaluative meaning of compound nouns and in the reconstruction of the fragments of the value-based picture of the world by the means of disclosing the stereotypical notions about a person and the world. As the result of the analysis of the evaluative substantive compound nouns there are stated the metaphoric patterns, there are identified the directions of the metaphorical transfers. The authors describe the frequency objects of the metaphorical transference.
