The work is based on the study of the results of treatment of 62 patients with synchronous multiple primary malignant gastric tumors (2004 - 2013) in the City Clinical Oncological Hospital №1 of Moscow City Health Department, as well as on the data of the cancer register of Moscow. In 57 patients with both malignant tumors, various surgical interventions were performed: simultaneous operations (25 patients), two-stage operations (22 patients), and surgical intervention for gastric cancer (10 patients). In simultaneous surgery, the average age of patients was 63.2 years, while in two-stage surgical interventions the average age was 64.1 years. Simultaneous radical surgery for both tumors was performed in 22 (88%) patients, two-stage radical surgery for stomach cancer and other tumors in - 18 (81.8%) patients. The rate of postoperative complications was 8% (3/25) after simultaneous surgery; after two-stage surgery postoperative complications developed in 13.6% of patients (3/22). Postoperative mortality was 4% and 4.5%, respectively. 5-year survival rate was as follows: after a one-stage operation 45.8%, after two-stage operations 36.4%.
