Onomastic media field of the Pskov region

The article deals with the semantic and structuralgrammatical characteristics of gemeronyms – the peripheral class of onyms functioning at the territory of the Pskov region. The analysis of the principles of the nomination of geteronyms taking into consideration their motivation and function allowed to consider the gemeronyms of the Pskov region as an onomastic media field presenting a historicalcultural and social-political space that reflects the regional peculiarities of life activities of population
