Children, as an integral part of human society, cannot keep out of the events occurring in it. Their psyche perceives the world around them in the most vivid way and reacts to it in accessible ways. The present study examines the problem of a child's perception of war, which is revealed through reference to children's visual art on relevant subjects. It is emphasized that a distinctive feature of juvenile drawing is its narrative nature. The child “narrates” the experiences in the artwork, expressing his own attitude to them in the intensity of the pencil pressure, in the symbols, color and composition. Conclusion is that children most often use blue, grey, red, brown, green, white and black colors and their shades in their warfare drawings. Through the description of the psychological significance of the scale chosen by the young artist, the article draws conclusions regarding the states experienced by the child, the author of the drawing: fear, frustration, hope. This kind of analysis of children's creativity will enable the teacher or parent to choose more targeted methods to work with the child to improve his psychological well-being.
