Determination of wear in elastic metalplastic sliding bearings under conditions of frequent start-ups and stops of the rotor under loading

Results of experimental researches by determination of wear of Babbit and elastic metalplastic (EMP) sliding bearings, working in conditions of frequent start-ups and stops of the rotor at a high specific loading, are established. The physical substantiation of influence of elastoeffect to EMP bearings wear resistance increasing in comparison with babbit sliding bearings is established. Industrial bodies where EMP sliding bearings trials were performed and proved high working capacity and wear resistance of the new «soft» EMP sliding bearings are indicated.
