The article raises the problem of an integrated approach to solving the problems of media and information education in the preparation of future teachers of the Russian language and literature. The experience of teaching the basics of media education at the Faculty of Philology of the Orenburg State Pedagogical University is analyzed, as well as additional professional advanced training programs aimed at media training of a teacher in the system of continuous education.
