Organization of Students’ Self-Study Work with the Use of Distance Educational Technologies

Introduction. Today, the shift in the vector of educational activity towards self-study is becoming relevant and significant, which, on the one hand, generates the student's desire for self-development, and on the other hand, lays the foundation for distance education, thereby motivating the improvement of professional skills and the opportunity to be a conscious and creative specialist. Materials and Methods. The study was based on competency-based and framework approaches. The authors applied methods of system and logics analysis. The research on implementation of the students’ self-study activity in the electronic educational environment was conducted at Omsk Humanitarian academy. Results and Discussion. The paper actualizes the essence of students’ self-study work, modern approaches to interpretation and classification of distance educational technologies, characterizes peculiarities, rules, stages of organization and management of self-study work for students and teachers in electronic information educational environment “Moodle”, analyzes the experience of conducting webinars, creative tasks, case-techniques and electronic portfolio as one of the types of authentic assessment of students. Conclusions. Organization of self-study work via distance educational technologies in electronic information educational environment “Moodle” ensures maximum usage of implementation of distance form of learning in organizing and assisting in students’ self-study. The involvement of teachers and methodical and technical staff in this process for monitoring the quality of feedback determines the development of responsibility, individual independence of a future specialist, building his ability to allocate his own resources, navigate in various situations, set and solve theoretical and practical tasks by himself.
