The article deals with the applied aspect of the problem of the formation of diagnostic competence among teachers of a technical university. The essence and content of the components of diagnostic competence, evaluation criteria and levels of its formation are revealed. The main results of the experimental work carried out on the basis of the Belarusian National Technical University are presented. The evaluation of the effectiveness of the proposed forms and methods of forming the diagnostic competence of teachers of the technical university was carried out.
