In modern conditions of uncertainty and security risks, the need for psychological support of Russian citizens is increasing. Combatants and their family members become one of the most vulnerable groups in the conditions of a special military operation. The article provides an overview of the organizational and legal foundations for the formation of a system of psychological assistance and support for these groups of citizens. The fact of the absence of psychoprophylactic work, both for military personnel and for their family members, as well as the lack of elaboration of methods of psychoprophylaxis, has been established. The authors propose to introduce into the practice of working with participants of a special military operation and members of their families methods of group psychotherapy, allowing to create existential-humanistic conditions for the development of positive value-semantic orientations of personality identification.
