Problem and purpose. The article analyzes and formulates the questions of the organization and content of subject teaching for students with special educational needs (SEN). A contradiction was found between a broad usage of distance technologies of teaching children with special educational needs, on the one hand, and a low level of learning abilities and development of communication skills characteristic of these children, on the other hand. The purpose of the article is to identify and substantiate the requirements for organizational and pedagogical conditions for teaching students with special educational needs using distance teaching; to develop and approbate a distance teaching course for training students of the 8th grade in “Physics” making use of the LMS MOODLE. The research methodology consists in analysis and generalization of educational normative and legal documents, research works of foreign and domestic scientists recognized by scientific community, and experience in teaching Physics to children with SEN in the remote format. Results. The application of distance teaching technologies and social services are the basic requirements for upgrading the organizational and pedagogical conditions for teaching Physics to children with SEN. A project of a distance teaching course for training pupils of the 8th grade in Physics using LMS MOODLE is offered as an example, and the results of its approbation are presented. The conclusion. The authors’ approach to using the didactic potential of the LMS MOODLE for teaching physics making use of remote technologies that is proposed in the article can be successfully implemented for teaching children with SEN. As a result of the pedagogical experiment there was an evident improvement of students’ progress in learning physics among the pupils of the 8th grade. Intercommunication among children with SEN was organized in the form of a joint task group working at the same problem in a remote control regime.
