This article discusses the features of using the original materials of the textbook “Russian language? As easy as pie!”, authored by A.N. Mukhonko; provides a comparative analysis of the results of students in grades 5–7 of the MBOU “Elista multidisciplinary gymnasium named after V. V. Khlebnikov”, obtained during independent work in the Russian language before using the original materials of the manual and after. The results are reflected in the table and graphs; the concept of “successful learning of students” and the concept of “organizational and pedagogical conditions” are considered. The article provides examples of exercises from the manual under study. Organizational and pedagogical conditions are a set of measures aimed at organizing the pedagogical process in order to effectively achieve educational goals (according to the materials of the Russian language – successful assimilation of language norms). The educational material used by the teacher of Russian language and literature determines the direction of training and teamwork. The original materials of the textbook have proven their effectiveness.
