The objective of the study is to consider the notion of organisation and content component of information and communication competency of a foreign language teacher. This issue is thought today to be one of the most pressing due to the process of digitalization and thus, it requires more detailed consideration of the competency, its structure and the levels as well. The object of the research is organisation and content component of information and communication competency. Research methods used in the study are the analysis and comparison of the results presented in the Russian and foreign researchers' works on this topic. The author also dwells upon the results of the study of organisation and content component of information and communication competency, description of its meaning in terms of three levels of the competency. The author emphases for the first time on this component of information and communication competency applying to the educational activity, particularly in the context of foreign language teaching.
