The article discusses the state authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, their place and role in the system of public power in modern Russia. Articles of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, laws on the State Council of the Russian Federation, on the general principles of organizing legislative (representative) and executive bodies of state power of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, a new law on public authority in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation are analyzed.
