The paper analyzes different approaches to classifications of translation mistakes and inadequate translators’ decisions. Hermeneutical approach is claimed to be the most reasonable for analysis of literary texts’ translation. On basis of this approach there is presented a list of possible mistakes inadequate translators’ decisions while translating wordplay in literary texts.
