The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the current state of food security and nutrition quality among the population of the Kyrgyz Republic. The authors examine the key factors hindering the implementation of state strategies, including budget deficits, the lack of effective inter-agency coordination mechanisms, and high import dependence. Particular attention is paid to the discrepancy between the actual dietary intake and physiological standards: a critical deficiency in proteins and fats of animal origin was identified against a backdrop of excessive carbohydrate consumption.
