Main directions and content of activities on pedagogical support of first graders’ adaptation

The article substantiates the need for pedagogical support for the first-graders' adaptation from the standpoint of the significance of its success for the further child's life, as well as the characteristics of the modern generation of children, which complicate the course of adaptation processes. Based on the analysis of modern psychological and pedagogical literature, the main directions and content of activities on pedagogical support of the adaptation of first graders are determined. They include organizational and managerial activities of establishing the schedule of school life for students, health-improving and preventive work, the organization of educational, cognitive and extracurricular activities of first graders, monitoring the course of adaptation processes, as well as organizing effective interaction with the student's family. It is proved that the complexity and versatility of the content of the activity on the pedagogical support of the first-graders' adaptation determines its poly-subject nature. Close interaction of members of the educational community is considered as one of the most essential conditions for the effective adaptation of first-graders.
