The main directions for improving the safety of electrical installations at agricultural facilities

The article provides an analysis of the energy ratio of infrastructure facilities and the population of the countryside with stationary and non-stationary electric machines. It considers main types of electrical protective equipment, observinf shortcomings of fuses and automatic switches use. The authors show effectiveness and prospects for residual current devicesusage. The main functional characteristics of these devices are determined - the value of the tripping current setting and the tripping time. The paper marks reliable operation, structural design and automatic control of device health. The reasons for the occurrence of electrical injuries in humans and the appearance of insulation ignitions of current-conducting parts under emergency modes of non-stationary electrical machines are specified. The types of portable protective disconnection devices for use in single-phase and three-phase electrical networks, which provide human protection and protection against fire in case of short-circuits in electrical installations at agricultural objects, are given.
