Features of adaptive readiness for educational activities of foreign students in the framework of higher education

The central category of the study - “adaptive readiness for learning activities” is considered. It is noted that there are contradictions in the process of research of adaptive readiness: these contradictions consist in an ambiguous interpretation of the conditions and factors of the development of adaptive readiness of the individual. The system approaches affecting the definition of the terminological apparatus of the study are described. The author’s understanding of the subject of the study is proposed. Based on the developed component structure of adaptive readiness for educational activities, the methods of psychological diagnostics are selected. An empirical study was conducted. The article describes the features of formation of adaptive readiness of foreign students for educational activities in the framework of higher education. The results of the correlation analysis are presented, and the components that influence the formation of adaptive readiness for educational activities of foreign students are studied. It is proved that the indicators of adaptation readiness of foreign students are personal characteristics, acculturation strategies, socio-psychological characteristics of behavior, learning motives and the degree of mastery of educational and professional activities.
